RPLIDAR A3, a new generation of triangular ranging lidar, farther, more stable and more reliable
Based on SLAMTEC Technology’s unique RPVision 3.0 laser ranging engine, RPLIDAR A3 achieves a 25-meter ranging radius, a sampling frequency of 16,000 times per second, and an angular resolution of up to 0.33° (15Hz case), once again refreshing the triangulation measurement The industry standard for distance radar.
The practical 25-meter ranging range
The RPLIDAR A3 utilizes a high-speed laser ranging core independently developed, extending its ranging radius to 25 meters. A larger measuring distance means that robots can map and locate themselves in more expansive environments. Even at longer distances, the A3 maintains excellent ranging accuracy.
Sampling rate of 16,000 times per second
The number of laser ranging points per second directly affects the effectiveness of acquiring high-precision contour information in radar scanning. The more points there are, the clearer the contour shapes, resulting in more precise mapping. This ensures that robots equipped with the laser radar can move at relatively high speeds while maintaining the quality of map construction.
Suitable for outdoor use in sunlight
In addition to its exceptional stability indoors, the RPLIDAR A3 introduces a new outdoor operating mode. In this mode, the RPLIDAR A3 exhibits even greater resistance to sunlight interference, ensuring more reliable ranging performance. It maintains stability when detecting black and white objects, objects at long distances, and objects exposed to strong sunlight, effectively resolving issues within 10-20 meters. This expansion of capabilities extends its application to a wider range of commercial and even industrial scenarios.

360° laser ranging
RPLIDAR A3 can achieve 360-degree all-round scanning and ranging detection of the surrounding environment, thereby obtaining high-precision contour information of the surrounding environment.
In addition, RPLIDAR A3 is similar to RPLIDAR A2. It has a 4cm ultra-thin appearance and is suitable for various types of service robots. It uses brushless motors and opto-magnetic fusion technology to improve smooth operation and effectively solve the problem of radar life.
