SLAMTEC Mapper is a new category of laser sensor introduced by SLAMTEC, distinct from traditional lidar sensors. This product comes equipped with SLAM real-time mapping and localization capabilities, suitable for various applications such as robot navigation, environmental mapping, and handheld measurements.

Core Features of SLAMTEC Mapper:

①Large-scale, high-quality mapping:

SLAMTEC Mapper utilizes a high-performance SLAM graph optimization engine and SharpEdge™ fine mapping technology. It actively detects and corrects loops, enabling precise mapping and localization at the scale of hundreds of thousands of square meters.

Plug-and-play, no external dependencies:

Powered by a separate 5V DC power supply, SLAMTEC Mapper supports simple plug-and-play functionality. Users can connect it to mobile devices like smartphones, creating an integrated portable measurement solution.

Tilt compensation, supports high-speed movement:

SLAMTEC Mapper includes a built-in 9-degree-of-freedom inertial navigation system, allowing normal operation in handheld mapping modes with varying elevations and tilts. It ensures optimal mapping data quality and can adapt to high-speed movements, supporting speeds of up to 2 m/s.

Indoor and outdoor operation:

The modulated laser of SLAMTEC Mapper effectively avoids interference from ambient light and sunlight during the ranging and scanning process. As a result, it can operate seamlessly in indoor environments and outdoor settings without direct sunlight.

Convenient data parsing, ROS compatibility:

SLAMTEC Mapper provides a comprehensive cross-platform SDK development kit, as well as evaluation tools for mobile and PC. With complementary ROS drivers, the generated maps and localization data can be seamlessly integrated into the ROS environment.

Mapping radar and laser sensor in one:

Besides its built-in mapping and localization capabilities, SLAMTEC Mapper can also function as a standalone lidar sensor. It allows quick integration of lidar data into existing systems using SDK or ROS nodes.

Built-in WIFI, Ethernet interface for convenient communication:

Featuring dual-mode AP/Station WiFi and a 100M Ethernet interface, SLAMTEC Mapper supports convenient communication. The accompanying mobile app enables real-time access to the maps and localization data generated by SLAMTEC Mapper.

Developer tools and support:

To facilitate user-friendly development and accelerate the development cycle, SLAMTEC offers RoboStudio, a robot management, and development software. It allows graphical debugging through network connections. Additionally, SDK development packages are provided for platforms such as x86 Windows, x86 Linux, and ARM Linux.
